Student participation in international programs and activities has become increasingly important in higher education. International youth engagement represents a valuable investment for Indonesia, as it provides opportunities to showcase the capabilities and potential of the nation’s human resources, particularly among young people and university students. Such participation offers numerous benefits, including promoting Indonesia and its rich cultural heritage to the global community, while also fostering international networks and collaborations.

Furthermore, future national development requires young generations who possess strong leadership qualities, global perspectives, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments. Therefore, enhancing the global competitiveness of universities must be pursued through continuous improvement and development. Higher education institutions in Indonesia are encouraged to establish strong and sustainable partnerships to address future challenges and opportunities. These collaborations should involve both national and international institutions in order to strengthen academic capacity, research excellence, and educational quality.

Through such collaborative efforts, it is expected that Indonesia’s competitiveness on the global stage will improve significantly, ultimately contributing to national economic development and the welfare of society. Quality education can only be achieved through the support of competent human resources and adequate educational facilities and infrastructure.

As a higher education institution with a strong commitment to excellence in health sciences education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang continuously strives to provide high-quality education. To support academic development and enhance the quality of higher education, the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang, actively establishes partnerships with various international institutions, one of which is the National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences (NTUNHS). This collaboration serves as a platform for academic exchange, international learning experiences, and the strengthening of global competencies among students and faculty members.
